In being crowned EPL and Carling Cup champions, our last season was exceptional even by our own lofty standards. We all know Chelsea fans are up for no good. But what was this man thinking while performing such a stunt. Also note how relatively calm and composed he is while on the field Salomon Kalou was getting ready to come on for Didier Drogba in the 83rd minute of the game. This is what happens you have fans who were bought over with Russian money.
The footballing world has been gripped with a deadly disease called “MONEYFUCKINGWHORITIS” and the Scent of Tevez is the latest strain of the deadly virus that causes it. While readers of Chris Toy’s Studs Up would be totally aware of the phrase, the footballing world owes an explanation as to what the fuss is all about. While the Scent of Carlos started out as weird idea in Chris’ mind, it is a reality today. The reality was witnessed yesterday in the Derby when each time Carlos was found near the crowd, the smell caused varied effects ranging from mild panic attack of Boos to a state of uncontrolled hate towards the source of the smell. While scientists world over are still trying to find a biological cause for the acts of the fans, a prominent theory is that the mutation to a disgusting shade of Blue is what has caused the smell to arise in the first place. While asking members of the crowd, we also got to know that it was not experienced about 3 months back when they chanted “Fergie! Sign him!”. Here is a detailed article explaining the Cause, symptoms and Preventive measures for MONEYFUCKINGWHORITIS and Scent of Tevez.
In this series of great games against City, we continue with this humdinger of a game from the 1993-94 season. City had gone in 2-0 up at halftime thanks to a brace from Niall Quinn. What looked like a uphill task was turned into a cakewalk by Eric Cantona’s double and a Keano strike. Schmeichel kept us in the game with some fantastic saves. In the end, a memorable 2-3 away victory in our favour.
As a countdown to the big derby game on Sunday, we at 11Reds are going to cover some of the very best United performances against City. We begin with arguably our greatest performance at home against City. In 1994, in the Premier League, goals from Eric Cantona and Mark Hughes apart from a hat-trick by Andrei Kanchelskis gave us a resounding 5-0 win on the day. A truly remarkable performance. We will be hoping for more of the same on Sunday!
Tomorrow, United face a daunting trip to the White Hart Lane in order to tackle a rampant Tottenham side that is high on confidence and belief. Harry Redknapp has overseen an astonishing metamorphosis at the Lane where the Spurs have transformed from a bumbling, unpredictable side under Juande Ramos to a cohesive unit who are genuine contenders for a top-four finish this season. In the build up to this highly anticipated clash tomorrow, I was going through some of our greatest games against the Londoners. This is a list of some of my favourite games against Tottenham. Tazz, from our sister site 11Gunners, has agreed to do an interview with us ahead of the Arsenal game. This is a part of an ‘interview exchange’ before the two sites before the big kick-off. Read on and form your own opinions. You can read my own views right here
With hardly any news coming up today, we at 11Reds decided to start setting up the stage to the Arsenal game on Saturday. There is a considerable amount of excitement in the air as this is the first ‘big’ game of the as-yet fledgling season. Both Arsenal and Manchester United warmed up to the game [...]
I am sure almost everyone with some football sense would have smirked snidely after reading about the desperate attempts of Owen’s agents to land him a job. I was among the hysterical ones too. The smirk, though, was wiped off when I read about his signing a two year deal for us. For a moment, [...]
