Following are the match highlights for yesterdays’ match against AC Milan. We were lucky with Scholes’ goals and Rooney was at his “header” best. Here are the highlights.

Wayne Rooney helped United reach the top of the league charts with a scintillating performance of FOUR (Yes! You read it right) goals against Hull City today. Rooney’s four-goal haul extends his lead in the Premier League’s top scorer stakes. He now has 19 league goals, four more than the next highest scorers, Darren Bent, Jermain Defoe and Didier Drogba, all with 14.

Hull City v Manchester UnitedIn the only Premier League fixture for the weekend, Manchester United today take on Phil Brown’s Hull City with a chance to go top of the table within their grasp. After the emotional roller-coaster that was the Manchester Derby, this is likely to be a more straightforward affair. In fact, this tie provides us with an ideal opportunity to get into some fine goal-scoring form before running into two highly critical games against Manchester City and Arsenal waiting for us around the corner. Michael Owen TevezThis is it, you know. This is it. Probably one of the most important games Manchester United is going to be involved in this season. dimitar_berbatov_1560428cUnited went back to winning ways (finally) with a 3-0 home win over Burnley that will definitely go some way towards numbing some of the pain that has been inflicted over United supporters over the past few weeks. However, if you think that this 3-0 win was one of those old fashioned cakewalks you need to think again. On any other day and against any other opposition we might have ended up conceding two before even registering our first goal. As it turned out, Burnley’s poor finishing handed us the impetus and we duly cashed in on it. [Keep Reading…]

Burnley Manchester UnitedIt would be a fitting bit of irony if United could kick-start a revival mission by setting out a statement of intent against the very same team that started their downhill descent this season. The 1-0 defeat away to Burnley was our first exposure to the brittleness and impotence in attack that has now become a hallmark of the current United side. Now is the chance to set things moving in the right direction. [Keep Reading…]

There is something so enchanting about Manchester United and stoppage times. Some of the most endearing memories of the Fergie era have been carved out in stoppage times. Let me start off with an admission. I am now a certified hypocrite. It is amazing how I have traveled a whole gulf of emotions in a matter of a few years. Watching Michael Owen in the Liverpool red would make me nauseous. Now look at me, championing his cause for a regular starting berth. [...]

Match Highlights & Review: Chelsea vs Manchester United 1-0

by Red Devil08.11.2009 Match Review

While we had gone in today’s match as underdogs with the entire United community predicting a draw or a loss, the show that our lads put up was exemplary. We not only dominated the game but showed a character and strength that made me feel proud to be a supporter of such a club. However, [...]
