HOLLAND V ENGLAND, INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY

Looks like Rio Ferdinand’s injury problems seem to be only getting bigger and more serious with time. What started off as a calf injury was linked to his back problems as revealed by Sir Alex Ferguson, however, it is learnt that Manchester United and Rio might be on a way to try out a new treatment for reducing the time Rio spends off the field owing to the injury.

According to theĀ Guardian, the latest trial of treatment carries no guarantee and it could still be a number of weeks before he is able to return to normal training sessions. However, the club’s main concern is the fact that no one appears to be able to diagnose exactly what the problem is.

Just to remind you that this is one of the longest injury streak of Rio since his has been a Red for the past 7 years. He has missed half of United’s last 50 games and played only 4 times for England this year. Now that is something serious we are talking about coming from a player who plays a very integral role in our defence. It would be really interesting to see how Sir Alex would deal with the issue and the not so up to the task duo of Brown and Evans.

In the mean time here is to hoping all the good luck and prayers to Rio for a quick recovery.
