Premier League: United Back On Top

Scholes turned 35 yesterday (16th November, 2009) and Manchester United are to offer him another one-year deal with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

The former England midfielder has played 10 games for United in the Premier League and Champions League this season, chipping in with two goals and an assist. Scholesy boy has been one of the best players (though I wonder when he would learn to tackle!) for us, and with a fine start to the season life could not be better for him.

Here is a video that celebrates the legend at United.

Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is also expected to be offered a new one-year deal like Scholes and the Dutchman is expected to accept the extension.
