SAF: ” Owen has never lost his form”

It seems that Fergie is quite pleased with Michael Owen and his presence in the United camp. After weeks of ramblings and banter from United supporters the Gaffer has finally spoken on the Owen issue and believe me when I say that SAF is really impressed with the former Anfield player. Now you see why I have been really supporting Owen all along while other bloggers in my niche have had their share of doubts.

Sir Alex, has expressed his confidence that Owen will be a major asset for us and can reignite a career that was fading away to nothing at Newcastle.

“There is no doubt he could really get his goalscoring form back on track with us. But really he has never lost it.

Although he had a few injury problems at Newcastle, he kept up the excellent goals-per-game ratio he has had throughout his career.”

Well, I could not agree with you more on this issue Sir. Owen managed to score 13 goals in 31 games at a club like Newcastle United, and that in itself speaks for his calibre.

The manager also commented on Michael’s training since his arrival.

“I’ve been really pleased with the way he has trained. He has worked hard -but the main thing is he coming into work with a smile on his face. He is really enjoying himself.”

Hmmm, now that is not how we see Sir Alex chatting about his boys, or do we? Anyways enough said, any bettings on Owen scoring against Birmingham on the opening day (that is if he is made to play)?
