Nemanja Vidic made a much needed return to the United defensive system in the 5-0 win against Wigan turning in a typically robust and compact performance. He was gritty, combative and sharp; everything you expect to see from Nemanja. All this came after a week full of rumours and suggestions about his possible move away from the club. Earlier in the summer, there was talk of Vida leaving us for Milan. Last week, some quotes attributed to his agent Paolo Fabbri indicated that Vida would be delighted to join his ‘dream’ club Barcelona. Although Fabbri was quick to deny any such statement, the ‘no smoke without fire’ belief that is so deeply ingrained in the realm of football made us fear the worst. All the papers in England and a few gossip-mongering websites are abuzz with the possibility of  Arjen Robben coming to Manchester United. It seems even after making his intentions clear again and again, Sir Alex will go against his word in order to bring in a player who chose playing with Chelsea over us in the first place.
