Owen Hargreaves was last seen in the red United shirt when we played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last season. It was after that game that a decision to pursue an operation was taken in relation to his tendinitis. It has been quite a while since then and even till now, the possibility of Hargo’s return is just a mirage that might get vanquished any day. However, considering Hargo’s importance for our squad, every positive update on his injury status is cheered by all United fans unequivocally. Another such update was out in the news recently with word flying around that Hargo had returned to Carrington in order to finish the last phase of his rehabilitation. Ever since his 17 million pound move from Bayern Munich in July 2007, Owen Hargreaves has made a total of only 25 starts for the club. However, it is an indication of his monumental performances that even after seeing so little of him, fans are clamouring for him to get back. Hargreaves had to undergo two operations on both his knees in order to address his tendinitis problem. He had an operation on his right knee last November and on his left in January this year; both operations being conducted under the watchful eyes of renowned surgeon Dr. Richard Steadman. Ever since the operations, Hargo has been undergoing a rehabilitation procedure in the US.
