Destined to face each other

Patrice Evra has been my favorite United player this season. His explosive forward darts combined with his solidity at the back make him, in my mind, the best left-back in the world. Not only does Patty set the pitch alight with his exemplary performances, he also makes all the right noises off the pitch. He is one of those players who find playing for Manchester United a dream come true and consequently try to give their best on the pitch. He is also one hell of a character and his off-the-field snippets are always fun to listen to. In his latest offering to the media, Patrice has revealed that his exceptionally strong psychic powers tell him that a European date with Real Madrid is inevitable and sooner or later, Manchester United are destined to face Cristiano Ronaldo as an opposing player. Patrice Evra and Chelsea

Our faithful left- back has come out in the open with a swipe at the Scousers claiming that away win to Chelsea is far more important than Anfield this season.

We all know that Evra has a colourful history when it comes to our  meeting with the Blues. In 2008 he was fined £15,000 and banned for four matches after he was caught up in an altercation with ground staff at Stamford Bridge and was also involved in a confrontation with Michael Ballack at this summer’s Community Shield. Indeed, such has been the level of his performances that it would not be outrageous to suggest that perhaps in Evra we have the best left-back in the world. However, it is not only his performances that endear him to us but his attitude as well. He absolutely loves Manchester United, loves the fans and is also a pretty fun character off the field. Some of his quips are absolutely legendary. In his latest offering to the media, Evra has trained his guns on former best friend Carlos Tevez saying that if the crowd are to boo him on Sunday, he would have no qualms in joining in the booing.
