Sir Alex Ferguson

LUHGFor those who still do not know, Manchester United Supporters’ Trust organized a meeting before the Burnley game to discuss possible options on how to take the fight to the Glazers. A brief synopsis of what transpired at the meeting is provided here by Scott from the popular United blog Republik of Mancunia. All those who were not able to attend and those who are scattered all around the globe (like me) must go through the main points and think about the best way to hustle the Glazers away from Manchester United. The Misery Continues

by professorkaka on January 11, 2010

scott-dan_1556237cIf you have been a faithful reader of 11Reds you might have chanced upon an article earlier in the season that proclaimed the title-winning credentials of the current United side. That article was written by none other than yours truly. Those were the times of an air of expectation backed by the unquestioned prodigiousness of the unmatchable Sir Alex. If he says we can do it, then we can do it. As simple as that. The loss of Ronaldo (and to a lesser extent Carlos Tevez) seemed like minor obstacles to the inevitable attainment of #19. We had Rooney who would assume Ronaldo’s mantle. Nani would finally assume his rightful place on the wings. Berbatov would finally reproduce the kind of form that forced us to pay the kind of money that we did. The United defence would remain as unbreakable as ever. Owen Hargreaves would be back. The youngsters would finally start blossoming in the same way as the original Fergie’s Fledglings had done (a Fergie’s Fledglings 2.0 so to speak). Here we are at the mid-way point of what was supposed to be a memorable journey and what do we see? Each and every thing that was supposed to be has turned out to be a failed promise. With my heart drowned in pain and my mind clouded by doubts, I have been forced to turn back on the road of optimism and I can now freely admit that this season, we would not be winning anything. Fergie and the Media Rule-book

ferguson-interview-uefa

For years, ever since 2004 when Panaorma ran a series in which it tarnished Jason, Fergie Jr. with using his fathers reputation to get transfer deals, Sir Alex Ferguson has very cleverly boycotted BBC. He used to send Quieroz or Phelan lately to BBC while the juice would go to Sky which Fergie preferred. However, with the new set of Premier League it now becomes mandatory for Fergie to give his interview as the manager of the club to all the media rights holders and that means both BBC and Sky. While, it appears great news for media transparency and equal celebration of media rights, there is a bigger murkier picture that is getting painted alongwith. [Keep Reading…]

Sports News - February 15, 2009

Almost every newspaper has run a story today carrying the so called inflammatory remarks of Nani, who went on to talk about his life at United and how he feels that he has not been given enough chances. The funny part was how newspapers were ready to jump the gun and talk of a fallout in dormant stage at the OT. Well turns out newspapers have never really understood OT that well. Read on to know what Nani meant and why it hardly means a fallout with the man we know as Sir Alex Ferguson. [Keep Reading…]

Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney is facing the prospect of an Football Association charge after shouting the words “12 men” in camera following the Chelsea match against United yesterday. Sir Alex Ferguson may also be involved in the scrutiny for criticizing the referee Matkin Atkinson. Rooney’s action is being drawn parallels with that of Didier Drogba after he infamously ranted about the referee post Chelsea’s Barcelona match last Champions League Semis which led to a three match ban.
